AVARA’s signature stay, set right on the backwater. The bedroom opens onto the deck, the deck runs down to the water, and the bath has a small garden of its own. The most open of the three ways to stay.
Inside
A timber ceiling under the tiled roof, a laterite panel behind the bed, and glass doors that fold all the way back. The lake is the first thing you see in the morning.
The morning deck
Two chairs face the backwater, and the deck stops where the water begins. On a still morning the far shore takes a while to appear through the mist. This is the reason to take the Lake Villa.
The bath
A stone tub and twin basins under the timber ceiling, opening onto a small walled garden of ferns and palms. A shower off to one side, open to the sky.
